… because all of Braddock’s family (and some friends) live in Tennessee and this is how they can watch him grow. And because it is super easy and much quicker to post pictures, videos, and updates about Braddock as opposed to our life in general. And because most people tend to be more interested in Braddock rather than what we’re doing and why we’re doing it.
And just for the record: although we’ve changed this blog to be all about Braddock , our lives do not revolve around him. We love Braddock dearly and strive to be the best parents we can be, but in our opinion that does not mean that our lives are bent around him… rather, we try very hard to help him adjust to OUR life as a family and a whole. That doesn’t mean I’m a strict planner or baby-wiser. On the contrary, I love attachment parenting… but more so, I love God’s guiding and leading in our lives and our parenting. So, if that means that God calls us to do things that don’t make sense in the realm of parenting (like moving to an unsafe area, taking Braddock on oversea mission trips, giving up our home and comfort for the sake of others) then that is exactly what we will do. Our life is not about Braddock’s comfort or our own comfort.
Just wanted to put that out there because having a blog about him seems very baby-centric. And even though this blog may be very light and even a little “fluffy” at times (aren’t baby things kinda fluffy?), that doesn’t mean Ryan and I are.
