Welcome!

Hello everyone!  Welcome to our blog!  Candace and I set up this blog mainly to stay in touch with everyone during our upcoming trip to Sierra Leone.  Hopefully we’ll be able to post updates and pics on here while overseas.  For now we’ll be posting updates on how things are going and some of our thoughts/struggles/fears regarding the trip.   

As far as our current progress, we just passed our first support deadline and right now we’re at about half of our support goal.  We’re also in the process of getting visas, immunizations, and all that fun stuff.  Candace is finishing up with school in about a week and it looks like I’ll be with RMG Engineers until the end of June.  I got a job as a camp coordinator for a week in July; other than that we hope to use July to relax, go camping, pack up our apartment, and get ready for Africa.  The plan is to head to Tennessee at the end of July to spend our last two weeks w/ family and friends there.
